This classical digital instrument is designed to sound like a good-quality pipe organ. It has two manuals (61 keys each) and a concave parallel pedalboard (30 keys) and is ideal for classical organists seeking to practise – or simply enjoy playing – a responsive organ at home. It would work equally well in chapels and small churches, provided more powerful speakers were added.

We bought it in 2016 and have enjoyed playing it in our front room ever since. As far as we know, it is in perfect playing condition. It is compact in size, with the console measuring 1,270 mm in width, 537 mm in depth, and 1,319 mm in height. The pedalboard measures 1,184 mm in width, 791 mm in depth, and 185 – 210 mm in height.

The C-330 has a very wide range of stops, a full set of couplers and pistons, and valuable practical ‘effects’, e.g. transpose, pitch, reverb, tremulant and temperament (thereby making it attractive to period instrument performers wanting to use baroque pitch and alternative tunings). There appear to be 25 stops (excluding couplers), comprised of 8, 9 and 10 each for the pedals, manual 1 and manual 2, respectively. However, each visible stop has 4 programmable ‘palettes’, resulting in an actual total of 108 voices.

Although it is compact, it is not light nor easily portable. The weight for each section, as set out in the specification, is 85 kg for the console (excluding the speakers), 25 kg for the pedalboard, 20 kg for the bench and 1.4 kg for each satellite speaker. We live in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, but cannot offer to deliver the instrument, nor would we advise using a generalist courier. However, we would be happy to help dismantle and carry it to a van if a buyer wants to come and pick it up from our house. Alternatively, Aspire Classical Organs can recommend a specialist organ mover. Potential buyers would be welcome to come and try out the instrument.
