We were recently asked to repair this Content Pastorale 226 after the customer had been told by another repairer that all parts had been discontinued.
To solve this, we sourced parts from France, along with an original speaker from Germany. Back in our workshop, we constructed a dedicated test fixture to thoroughly test the repaired modules before installing them in the organ.

At Aspire Classical Organs, we take great pride in finding solutions and helping our customers keep their much-loved instruments playing, even when a repair initially seems impossible.
A few days later, we received this wonderful testimonial from the director of music, making all the work involved even more rewarding.
"After facing the prospect of an unrepairable organ fault, potentially requiring replacement of an amplifier unit no longer produced by the original manufacturer (the manufacturer in question refused to assist, even though there was no other obvious service option in the UK), I was absolutely thrilled to discover that Tony had taken steps to repair the damaged unit by hand, by sourcing relevant electrical components and harnessing his electrical experience to make the necessary repairs to the amplifier himself.
He also sourced a like-for-like speaker unit to replace the one that had blown. It would have been all too easy to write the instrument off on the basis of discontinued manufacturer support; however, Tony persevered and did what many service engineers might not have bothered with.
I really wasn’t expecting to be able to play the instrument again but Tony went above and beyond to bring the instrument back into service and sounding good as new. Friendly, reliable and professional, I thoroughly recommend Tony as a technician of integrity who really does know what he’s doing and has a passion to maintain instruments rather than simply to write them off and push for a very expensive new purchase. Well done on a brilliant, ‘traditional’ repair, and thank you for saving our organ! "
